Consumers have been dealt another blow today as British Gas, Britain’s biggest energy supplier, announces its second price increase in 6 months.

The increase – 35% or £230 for gas and 9% or £37 for electricity - comes into effect today (30th July). The move is a second nail in the coffin for affordable energy.
